Caigo is a vase from the Laguna Collection designed by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba for Purho in spring 2022.
Characterized by large volumes in contrast to the small upper mouth — suitable to accommodate even a single flower — Caigo, which name refers to the thick fog in the Venetian dialect, recalls the soft and folded shapes of a bag emptied of its contents. Thus the folds of the fabric become glass hollows and curves reflecting the creative dialogue between the designers and the master.
Made of Murano glass in iridescent colours and sandblasted finishes, Caigo and Caigo Small — the smaller version — complete the other artefacts of the Laguna Collection: a composite set of organic forms, apparently imperfect cylinders in which the formal flow is interrupted only by the engraving on two of the vases. A departure for a collection that is a tribute to Murano and the lagoon that surrounds it.
Color: Steel grey, moss green, deep blue, crystal and topaz
