Soulmates Job Smeets and Nynke Tynagel founded studio job in 2000. This studio was established in the “renaissance spirit”, where traditional and modern techniques are combined to produce once- in-a-lifetime objects. The pair started the studio after graduating from the dutch Design Academy in Eindhoven and in the fifteen years since then, they have moved towards being the pioneers of contemporary design. Works by Studio Job can be found in more than forty museums around the world. The design duo have had dozens of solo exhibitions. Their iconic, heraldic and cartoon-like sculptures are popular with collectors. One of the most influential design team according to the financial times, Studio Job is passionate about building up an oeuvre that is becoming increasingly extravagant and personal in its details.
Fallen Chandelier XL è una lampada da terra, versione fuori scala del Fallen Chandelier M. Adatta sia per ambienti interni che esterni. Oltre dieci anni fa Studio Job ha creato un indimenticabile installazione d’arte “Fallen Chandeliers”, in cui una serie di lampadari fuori scala erano sparsi in un grande campo dove in passato si trovava un palazzo reale. Il palazzo era scomparso e solo i lampadari erano rimasti al loro posto, sull’erba ancora illuminata. Ora Qeeboo trasforma questo progetto artistico in un vero oggetto design. La forma e la superficie vengono rielaborate, influenzate dalle curve classiche di Thonet del XIX secolo, e ne scaturisce un monumentale oggetto realizzato in vetroresina, sia per interni che per esterni, dal potente immaginario espressivo.

Qeeboo takes up and reinterprets the icons of our imagination in a fantastic key and dresses them with an unexpected original patina made of emotion and imagination, presenting a collection of beautiful, ironic, and surprising objects. Extraordinary objects created under the careful direction of Stefano Giovannoni in collaboration with the most eclectic international designers, integrating different styles and characters in a playful-narrative approach.
