Hugo de Ruiter
In 1980, Hugo de Ruiter started at Leolux as a product developer. He subsequently became head of the Product Development Department and house designer for Leolux. He successfully combined his know-how of the trade with his know-how of design. From this, furniture was designed with the central theme “movement”. In 2001, he left Leolux and started a “second life” as a freelance designer; he wanted to give more depth to his signature and give his creativity a new impulse. Hugo de Ruiter still regularly works for Leolux. Proof of that new-found depth can be seen in the Archipel model.
