Chàdi, from the tastevin to the oxygenating glass

Chàdi in ancient Greek means caress, and it is really a caress, a respectful and delicate gesture of love, a caressing and oxygenating wave that Chàdi glass gives the wine, aerating and bring it to a new life to best offer a unique tasting as well as keeping its original organoleptic characteristics.

Chàdi will enhance aromas and scents in the case of aged wines. Chàdi allows for breathing and oxygenating in case of natural white and orange wines. Natural wines after opening may be ‘reduced’, but just a swirling in the Chàdi glass enables them to release all their aromas.

Four of five swirls of a wine - about 115ml – that go through the pointed recesses in the bottom of the glass will expose the wine to oxygen, allowing it to aerate for a perfect tasting.

These innovative handmade blown glass protuberances, artfully distributed in the bottom of Chàdi, make a difference in its design and allow the rotating wine to face a slight obstacle course that enables it to oxygenate naturally.

Chàdi is covered by an industrial patent, being the only oxygenating glass in the world, handmade in Umbria - Italy. A skilled teamwork made it possible to create and produce this unique oxygenating glass having everyone contributed not only to its design, but also to its functionality, creativity, innovation, passion and emotion.
