Ghost Art is a mysterious artist, of whose identity little is known except that he was born in Tiburg, in the Netherlands, where he still lives and creates. Such confidentiality is contrasted with the powerful communicative charge of his works, paintings, sculptures and “collectable Toys” which bring to art the symbols of prosperity, icons and heroes of the modern age. From dollars, transformed now into monuments, now into wheels of money smeared with fiery red murals, to the tender Rolex and Hermès teddy bears. The writings that often accompany the works praise, we only know in a celebratory or critical key, a world dominated by the god of money. In the execution, Ghost Art combines cutting-edge techniques with traditional procedures and materials.
