Athena (in Attic Ἀθηνᾶ, Athēnâ), the new Iconoclastic lady, is not a Muse in the traditional sense but refers to the pantheon of Greek divinities, taking up their archetypes and symbols and becomes an inspiring figure through the various meanings she represents.

Athena is in fact the Greek Goddess of wisdom, the arts and strategy in battle, who prefers non-violent conflict to brute action, the result of intellect and tactical reasoning. She has various functions: she defends and advises heroes, educates industrious women, directs judges of the courts, inspires craftsmen and protects children.

Since ancient art, Athena is always depicted dressed in a peplos and often armed, surrounded by her sacred symbols:

The owl Athene noctua, the helmet, the spear, the shield and the Aegis.

Iconoclastic revisits the classical Athena maintaining some of the distinctive features it recognizes as emblematic of the contemporary female figure: helmet, shield and spear symbolize the weapons with which women face the dangers of the world, but they do so with intelligence, courage and grace.
