In 1894, Empress Eugenie decided to have one of the most beautiful villas in Cap Martin built on the French Riviera. She called it Villa Cyrnos and dedicated herself to the creation of a semi-desert, mineral garden with the contrast of fruit and flower plants. Pine trees, typical Cap Martin trees, olive trees and figs were planted. In this wonderful garden, the Empress received all the more
important names of the time, aristocrats, artists and intellectuals.
Distinguished as a symbol of the Renaissance, L'Œuf combines the softness of unglazed ceramic with the strength of a black satin-finished wooden support. L'Œuf is inspired by the ancient Cabinet de Curiositè, the great avenues of exploration and the glorification of the animal kingdom.
